This exhibition explored artworks created by artists who reinterpreted traditional representations of landscapes in unexpected ways. Showcasing 39 works by 33 Shenandoah Valley artists, the works seen urged the viewer to consider new perspectives or characteristics within the landscape that they otherwise might overlook. By approaching the idea of landscape from differing viewpoints and with current techniques, the artists featured offer insights into the longstanding tradition, while revealing to the viewer the possibilities of looking at the world with fresh eyes.
