ShenArts Announces Call for Artists for 40th Anniversary Exhibit.
Juried show will celebrate the talents of artist members
Winchester, VA (September 21, 2018) — Calling all ShenArts artist members! The Shenandoah Arts Council is now accepting submissions for its 40th Anniversary Exhibition, which will be on display with Art in the Halls at The MSV from October 16, 2018 through January 13, 2019.
Since its formation in 1978, the Shenandoah Arts Council has served the community of the Northern Shenandoah Valley by expanding awareness and supporting the arts through programming, instruction, and exhibitions. This 40th Anniversary Exhibition will celebrate the talent and accomplishments of its artist members.
An online application is available HERE. The entry fee is $25 for ShenArts members and $35 for non-members.
Each artist can submit one piece for consideration, a representation of their best work. All mediums are welcome, paint, mixed media, textiles, photography, sculpture, etc.
The deadline for submissions is October 5.
Art will be selected and artists will be notiﬁed on October 8.
Selected works must be delivered to the Shenandoah Arts Council’s administrative office, located on the second floor of the Hexagon House, at 530 Amherst St. in Winchester, between October 11 and 13.
An opening reception will be held at The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley on October 16.
