Show Ready 3: Social Media & the Artist
A strong online presence is one of the most effective tools you can have as an artist. Using social media can be the easiest way to get your work seen by many and shared beyond your geographic region – all for free! This session is designed to help you design a social media plan that will not only maximize your visibility, but also show you how easy it is to make posting a part of your everyday routine. Various social media platforms and their respective strengths will be covered as well as useful tips on taking better pictures of your work, hashtags and creating a posting schedule.
Show Ready 4: Framing & Hanging
So you’ve had your art selected for a show…now what? The submission process for getting work accepted at a gallery or for an exhibit is the biggest hurdle we face as artists, but often what comes next can be just as much a struggle. In this final workshop of the series, we will discuss various methods for framing & mating as well as when a frame might not be necessary. You will learn the most cost effective ways to get a professionally finished look as well as a few DIY tips. Lastly, we will discuss the best hardware to add to make sure you deliver your art to the gallery or client ‘ready to hang’.
