Winchester, VA (December 18, 2018) — The Board of Directors of the Shenandoah Arts Council is pleased to announce the hiring of Lisa Sipp for the newly-created position of Special Events Coordinator. Sipp began the position in October, handling special events, fundraisers, and grants.
Sipp has an Associates Degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of New Mexico, a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Thomas Edison State University, and a master’s degree in Special Education from New Mexico Highlands University. Her career has included extensive experience in the fields of education, health, and non-profit initiatives.
“I am very excited to help launch our new project, “Hearts for the Arts,” in conjunction with our ShenArts 40th Anniversary Celebration Gala on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. This event will also be our major fundraiser for the year. I look forward to welcoming a growing number of community partnerships in promoting the Arts in the northern Shenandoah Valley,” Sipp said.
