Curry Schiavone holds a B.A. in Art from the University of North Carolina in Asheville where his emphasis was on sculpture. Prior to joining the MSV staff, Schiavone was an elementary and middle school art teacher at the Powhatan School, and a substitute teacher for Winchester and Frederick County Public Schools.
Rachel Smith holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Brigham Young University. She is an active artist who has exhibited at over 70 shows in 14 states, and at local venues including the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Barns of Rose Hill, and Burwell-Morgan Mill. She works as a teaching artist and has been with the Shenandoah Arts Council since 2022.
