ShenArts Announces Call for Artists for Unexpected Landscapes; this juried show will explore the idea of the traditional landscape and urge artists to push the definition
Winchester, VA (July 29, 2019) — Calling all area artists! The Shenandoah Arts Council is now accepting submissions for its upcoming exhibit “Unexpected Landscapes”, which will be on display with Art in the Halls at The MSV from October 15, 2019 through January 19, 2019. This exhibit will explore fresh perspectives of traditional landscape painting. The entry fee is $25 for ShenArts members, $35 for non-members and $20 for students and veterans. Each artist can submit up to three pieces for consideration. All mediums are welcome.
The deadline for submissions is September 20.
Art will be selected by the jury and artists will be notified by October 1st.
**Selected works must be delivered to ShenArts’s administrative office, located on the second floor of the Hexagon House, at 530 Amherst St. in Winchester, between October 1st and 4th.**
An opening reception will be held at The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley on October 15.
The Shenandoah Arts Council, ShenArts, is a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts and expanding arts awareness in the Northern Shenandoah Valley region.
